Gateway South

Coventry

Gateway South is a large strategic employment site south of Coventry. We helped remove the site from the Green Belt and secured planning permission for development.

We promoted the Gateway South site through the Local Plan process, successfully achieving its removal from the Green Belt and allocation as the southern part of Warwick District Council’s sub-regional employment allocation (the other part of the allocation being formed by the Whitely South scheme).

Alongside the strategic employment development, the scheme includes a large new Community Park and a new home for the Trinity Guild Rugby Club.

The site’s historical uses required significant remediation work prior to the delivery of the scheme. We dealt with the complex array of pre-commencement conditions which reflected this requirement. We continue to work with SEGRO to implement the scheme, which is well underway, with infrastructure in place, the Rugby Club nearing completion, the Community Park being brought forward and the first few units complete with occupiers moving in.
